What
This initiative has been designed to address the limited access to theatrical training within the community. Many aspiring performers cannot afford, or do not have access to, full-time theatre programs. This masterclass offers underrepresented talent the opportunity to explore the rewarding craft of performance and develop their artistic potential.
If this inaugural event proves successful, additional initiatives will be introduced to further train artists—enhancing both the quality of performers and the overall standard of community theatre.

An acting workshop designed especially for Melburnians; this program is created for anyone with a passion for the performing arts or a desire to step away from the monotony of daily routine.
The workshop is both educational and engaging—offering practical training in acting and performance while ensuring an enjoyable, supportive learning environment. Research shows that acting exercises and theatre games can significantly reduce stress, improve emotional resilience, and support overall mental well-being.
The workshop concludes with a live showcase performance. Participants will engage in scene work and ensemble creation, developing multiple short scenes that will be woven together into a cohesive one-hour performance on the final day.
Led by Sonil Shanker this masterclass provides an accessible and fast-tracked pathway into acting for those interested in both community and professional theatre.
