The rise of the far-right is not just a danger to the conservative side of politics. It's a danger to our community.Fairness, equality and accountable Governments, all hallmarks of our democratic society, are being undermined across the the UK, US and Europe.
In Australia, Pauline Hanson's nasty strain of right-wing populism is already has already shown it will demonise workers, immigrants, religious minorities and even women fleeing domestic and family violence.
It will find easy, convenient targets for economic and social issues, while offering no solutions for these.
That's why we're fighting back.
Only by tackling economic inequality and the cost-of-living crisis will we be able to do what the conservative side of politics can't do, take Pauline Hanson and One Nation on!
So come along to our Politics in the Pub with Senator Anthony Chisholm.
Senator Chisholm was there in the 90's when Qld Labor fought off Pauline Hanson and One Nation, and is deeply involved in developing policy for Regional Qld where the roots of One Nation run deep.
