Player and Parent Requirements
1. Playing Attire
Players should wear an APTC club shirt where possible. Appropriate tennis clothing may be worn if a club shirt is unavailable.
2. Season Commitment
Please carefully consider your availability before registering.
Players have a responsibility to themselves, their teammates and the Club to play when rostered. Future team selections may take into account the commitment shown by both players and parents during the season.
3. Player Supervision
WDTA has strict child-safety and supervision requirements:
-
At least one parent or guardian from each team must remain at the venue for the entire match.
-
Venue supervisors will coordinate the day but are not responsible for directly supervising individual players.
4. Team Manager Responsibilities
Parents must be prepared to act as Team Manager if their child is selected as the team captain.
Team Manager responsibilities may include preparing rosters, coordinating player availability and completing other duties outlined by the Club.
Team Selection
Teams will be selected using the best available information regarding each player’s standard and order of merit.
While every effort will be made to accommodate friendship requests, it may not always be possible to place friends in the same team.
Coaches from Futures Tennis Academy at Ardrie Park Tennis Club will assist with the team-selection process.
Unfortunately, we may not be able to place every applicant into a team. Any player who is not allocated to a team will receive a refund of their application fee.
Refund Policy
Refunds will be provided in the following circumstances:
-
The player is not allocated to a team.
-
A medical condition or injury prevents the player from participating after teams have been submitted to WDTA, such as a broken arm.
-
A club shirt has not been worn and still has its original tag attached, or the Club is unable to supply the requested size.
Refunds will not be provided for a change of mind after teams have been submitted to WDTA.
Nomination Deadline
Nominations close at midnight on Sunday 23 August 2026.
