Inter-Dojo Friendship Tournament 2026
The Inter-Dojo Friendship Tournament is a tournament between the Kodokan Cummings Karate Dojo, Kenbukan Australia, and Capital Martial Arts. The tournament will consist of Kata only.
Saturday
All ages and experience levels are welcome. Students must, however, be able to complete one full kata.

Entry Fees
Early Bird Registration - before 10 March - $15.00 per entry ($12.00 for families of 3 or more)
Standard Registration - on/after 10 March - $25.00 per entry ($18.00 for families of 3 or more)
Timings
The Tournament's official start time will be 9:00am. All competitors should be prepared to arrive at the venue by 8:30am for check-in. However, so that we can reduce 'downtime' the tournament start-time will be specifically designated for each competitor group, and generally competitors will expect to be at the venue for around one hour. Competitors will receive an email no later than Friday 21 March 4:00pm with their specific event start time and finish time (we are doing this to minimise the amount of time you have to wait for your event). The day should conclude no later than 2:00pm, depending on competitor numbers.
Rules
Summary: The tournament will be held in a double-elimination format, meaning all students will get to perform twice throughout their round/category. The tournament will be held using the flag-based scoring system, and will endeavour to be informal and relaxed in nature, taking into account that competitors will be from different styles and dojo. 1st to 3rd Place will be awarded in each category and competitors will receive a certificate.
