Clinical Foundation Series: ABCs Of ECGs
About
Ideal for new graduates and those with less than five years of experience in practice, the Clinical Foundation Series is a new initiative from SASH, featuring a monthly and comprehensive rotation of subject matter experts across the country's broadest range of disciplines. Over the course of a year, you can expect to get a better understanding of the vast majority of small animal veterinary disciplines. Aimed to demystify, upskill, and build confidence in areas that may not be covered in during your university studies.Our next workshop features Dr Arianne Fabella, (Boarded in Cardiology), who will guide attendees through a practical and interactive session designed to demystify ECG interpretation in clinical practice. Dr Fabella will share her expertise in cardiology, helping participants build confidence in recognising and interpreting common cardiac rhythms and abnormalities.
This workshop will include:
*Interpreting normal ECG waveforms and cardiac rhythms
*Recognising common arrhythmias and conduction disturbances
*Developing a systematic approach to ECG interpretation
*Applying ECG findings to real clinical cases
*Understanding when ECG abnormalities warrant further investigation or specialist referral
Whether you are new to ECG interpretation or looking to strengthen your cardiology knowledge, this workshop will provide valuable practical skills that can be applied immediately in practice.
This session will be offered in a hybrid format, where a limited number of face-to-face spots will be offered on a first come first serve basis. To extract the most from the planned workshop, we encourage face-to-face attendance in order for our team to provide tuition. For those that are unable to attend in person, you can tune in by Zoom livestream.
