About
As part of our Year 6 Inquiry unit for Term 3, our students have been investigating programs that promote the health and wellbeing in our community. Each team participating in the Amazing Race event have chosen an organisation to represent and promote.All money fundraised by our Year 6’s will be donated to the winning team’s nominated organisation/ charity. This event not only promises a day filled with teamwork and adventure but allows our students to make a positive impact in our community; whilst building an understanding of how our school community can come together and help the wider community.
The chosen charities are listed below:
Team 1: The Rotary Club of Canterbury
Team 2: Spine and Scoliosis Research Associates Australia
Team 3: Team Sports 4 All
Team 4: The Royal Children’s Hospital
Team 5: Warriors 4 Wildlife
Team 6: Seeing Eye Dogs (Vision Australia)
Team 7: Angel Tree (Salvation Army)
