Parent Education Series - The Man Cave Program
About
In 2026, St Kevin’s College is developing and sharing a Parent Education Program aimed at strengthening the partnership between school and home in supporting the development of our young men. Through a workshop each term, we hope to provide parents with insight into the experiences of their sons and practical ways to support their wellbeing. The first of these series from The Man Cave is being held at Waterford campus on August 13, 2026.As part of our commitment to the wellbeing and formation of young men of character, St Kevin’s has partnered with The Man Cave, an Australian organisation specialising in preventative mental health and wellbeing programs for adolescent boys. Across both 2025 and 2026, our Year 9 students have participated in full-day workshops, with very positive engagement and feedback.
The Man Cave program provides a structured and engaging environment for boys to explore important aspects of their development, including emotional awareness, healthy relationships, respect, and the challenges young men can face. The parent education series is designed to support parents to better understand their sons, build strong and respectful connections and develop confidence in understanding challenges facing young men.
