Yass Valley History Centre
About
Come and explore Yass Valley's remarkable collection of objects, images and records celebrating local stories of national significance. Enjoy a guided visit to the National Treasures, Local Stories exhibition, with time to browse at your leisure. This will be a self-drive and we encourage car-pooling. Allow an hour's travel time. The Museum is next to the Yass Visitors Information Centre. Parking is limited directly outside the History Centre. There are a few spots usually on the street, alternatively, parking is available in front of the nearby Visitor Information Centre.
We will then have a behind-the-scenes tour of their nationally recognised Research and Archival Collection area.
Finish off with a fun history quiz based on the exhibition, with a prize for the winner!
'We travel so far to go to other big museums and didn't realise we have this incredible museum right here in Yass.'
Yass Probus member after their June guided tour.
Afterwards there is the option to gather together for lunch at the historic Clubhouse Hotel (at your own expense).
