Invitation to Support Our Journey to Prep Parent Evening 
Dear Prep and Year 1 Families,
This year, we are introducing a new transition experience for families preparing to begin their Prep journey at Turner House. Designed to support both children and parents, the program recognises that a successful transition is shaped not only by educators, but by the strength of the community that surrounds each family.
The families attending this evening will be arriving at Prep from a variety of pathways. Some are already part of the Firbank community through our Early Learning Centre, while others will be joining Turner House for the very first time.
As one of our current Prep or Year 1 families, you have recently experienced this transition yourselves. Your insights, experiences and reflections are incredibly valuable, and we would be delighted if you could join us to help welcome and support families preparing for this next stage.
Parent Session: Belonging, Readiness and What Comes Next
Thursday 6 August
5.00pm – 6.00pm
Prep Classrooms, Turner House
(Enter via Middle Crescent Gate 31)
While our staff can explain the Prep program and transition process, it is often hearing from other parents that provides the greatest reassurance. Your perspective can help families feel confident about what lies ahead and provide a genuine sense of the warmth, connection and partnership that define the Turner House community.
The evening will include drinks and nibbles, a short presentation, and opportunities for informal conversation with incoming families, staff and school leaders. Children may be cared for in our Early Learning Centre during the session if required.
Thank you for the contribution you make to our community. The willingness of families to share their experiences and support one another is one of Firbank's greatest strengths. We hope you can join us as we welcome the next generation of Prep families to Turner House.
