Enhancing farm business management skills - Spring Ridge
About
This project will build the confidence, knowledge, and critical skills of early career growers in northern NSW, empowering the next generation to make informed decisions and effectively lead farm businesses. The project will deliver a series of 3 workshops:
Workshop 1 – Farm business management fundamentals - 24 September 2026
Workshop 2 – Financial Management, Risk & Operations - early February 2027
Workshop 3 – Decision making, Strategy & Future Planning - June or July 2027
Networking dinner – September 2027
With communication and people management such an important component of farm business management, this workshop involves DISC profiling on all attendees prior to Workshop 1 commencing.
DISC profiling is a behavioural assessment tool that categorizes human behaviour into four distinct personality types. It is designed to evaluate and describe individual behaviours in professional settings, enhancing self-awareness and improving team dynamics. The DISC assessment helps individuals understand their own behaviour and the behaviour of others, ultimately driving productivity and building stronger relationships.
DISC profiling is a significant investment in the personal development of growers. All future workshops will relate back to the DISC assessments. Given this, it is essential all attendees are fully committed to attending all 3 workshops prior to registration.
This workshop series is limited to 12 farm businesses per workshop. More than one attendee per business is welcome (and encouraged) to attend.
If the workshop is booked out, please email sarah.ball@ampsagribusiness.com.au to be added to the wait list.
