6.15 pm – 7.00 pm and 8.30 pm - 9.00 pm | Kenya Photography Exhibition & Refreshments
Before and after the Parent Information Evening presented by The Man Cave will be hosting a Kenya Photography Exhibition & Serving Refreshments in the O’Brien Hall.
Commence the evening in O'Brien Hall, where guests are invited to enjoy tea, coffee and light refreshments while viewing an exclusive photography exhibition from the recent Sawubona Kenya Immersion.
Recently, eight staff members from St Bernard's College returned from an unforgettable Sawubona Kenya Immersion experience, where they had the privilege of spending time with our long-standing Edmund Rice partner school, the Ruben Centre in Mukuru, Nairobi.
Since 2008, the St Bernard's College community has proudly supported the Ruben Centre through funds raised by Marby150, helping to provide educational opportunities, essential resources and hope for students and families living in the Mukuru township. Over almost two decades, this partnership has grown into something truly special, with both communities learning from and enriching one another through shared experiences and a common commitment to education.
The exhibition showcases the work of Michael Stavrakakis, who is not only a highly respected teacher at St Bernard's College but also an internationally award-winning wildlife and nature photographer. Michael's remarkable collection captures the people, landscapes and everyday life of Kenya, providing a powerful insight into the communities our College has proudly supported for almost two decades.
All photographic artworks will be available for purchase. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Edmund Rice Foundation Australia in support of our long-standing partner school, the Ruben Centre, in Mukuru, Kenya.
Please note: This event is for parents and carers only. Students are not permitted to attend.
We look forward to welcoming you to an evening of learning, conversation and community as we work together to support the wellbeing of our young men.
