Cyber safety – raising children in a digital ageRecommended for parents/caregivers of children of all ages.
Unfortunately there is no creche available for this workshop. Parents are welcome to bring non-mobile babies to the workshop, we just ask you to step out of the room to settle your little ones if needed.
Providing current information and links to resources, this workshop aims to empower parents/carers to keep children safe in digital spaces. The session explores how to navigate technology, online platforms, and media content alongside children, with a focus on maintaining a connection and positive relationship.
Topics covered include:
•The ‘big issues’ in the online space - grooming, cyber bullying, social media, sharing images, games, and apps
•Where to find up to date, reputable information, and support
•Positive approaches to guiding children’s behaviour in the online world
This is a single session workshop that will run for 2.5 hours.
