About
The theme for our August Bottle Club is ‘Gippsland ’ - reds or whites - with 3 years' bottle age for reds.Gippsland is the largest (by area) wine region in Australia, stretching from Melbourne’s eastern fringe all the way to the NSW border. It is home to over 50 producers with plantings in many different microclimates in areas as diverse as Phillip Island, the Strzelecki Ranges, and the foothills of the Great Dividing Range.
The region produces some stunning Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, Bordeaux blends in warmer microclimates and some exceptional cool climate Syrahs. It is truly an artisanal wine region tended by passionate winemakers and situated in a landscape of natural beauty.
So, dig out your cellar or seek out from your merchant a premium Gippsland bottle and join with your friends and guests at the BC table for a delicious luncheon provided by Felix and celebrate the diversity of this fabulous wine region!
