Melbourne Celtic Festival on Tour, Australia's only touring Celtic music festival, returns in 2027, bringing the best craic and three exceptional festival acts to theatres across the country.
Headlining the tour is Melbourne's acclaimed Apolline, one of Australia's most exciting folk ensembles. Praised for their 'huge amounts of energy, musicianship and a sense of humour' by ABC Radio National, the award-winning trio combines stunning close-harmony vocals, fiddle, cello and double bass in cutting-edge originals that draw on the musical traditions of Ireland and Scotland, with influences from jazz, Scandinavian folk and beyond.
Ghosts of Erin (IRE) – Tony and Carmel McCabe continue their Australian run following a 2026 tour as support act for their son, renowned Irish singer-songwriter Dan McCabe. One of Ireland's best-known Celtic music families, they deliver authentic Irish songs, virtuosic pipes and plenty of laughs along the way.
Completing the lineup is Irish-born singer and multi-instrumentalist Cora Browne, whose powerful vocals have made her a respected presence in the Australian Celtic music scene. Joined by her Trio and her trusty purple bodhrán, she brings a spine-tingling blend of traditional Irish music and modern Celtic song.
Melbourne Celtic Festival, in association with Promac Productions Australia, offers audiences the opportunity to experience three approaches to Celtic music in a single concert.
Three distinctive acts. Big harmonies, brilliant musicianship, Irish humour and unforgettable performances combine for a show packed with heart, energy and pure enjoyment.
