All participants are expected to know the common chords and to read basic TAB.Saturday 24 October
9:30 - 10:30am: Getting comfortable. Brushing up on TAB reading skills. Playing some ensemble tunes. Pick your level of difficulty. Discussing timing.
10:14 - 11:45am: Effective fingering. How do you know what fingering to use to make your life easier? How to improve your tone.
12:45 - 1:45pm: Chords and melody playing. Starting from the ground up. You can do it!
2:15 - 3:30pm: Developing chords and melody playing. Play a couple of really lovely well-known tunes.
Sunday 25 October
9:30 - 10:30am: Fingering and fun stuff up the fretboard in the dusty zone. Play a couple of easy tunes.
10:45 - 11:45am: Play some more tunes up the fretboard. You can do it!
12:45 - 1:45pm: Write your own strumming patterns. How to play chords as hammer-ons. Playing some songs using what you have learnt.
2:15 - 3:30pm: Write your own plucking patterns. How to make a song sound interesting.
Finish with an easy arrangement of a well-known song.
Please note that while the topic of these workshops may be similar or identical to workshops you may have attended in the past with Sally, the content will be new, fresh and exciting!
