Tristan Lee is a Melbourne born concert pianist, pedagogue and academic, whose performances, recordings and lectures have received critical acclaim throughout Australia and abroad. He has played in major venues in Australia, France, Italy, Lithuania and China, including regular recitals at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Perth Concert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Academy of Music, and St Martin in the Fields in London, Shanghai and Chongqing Grand Theatre, Guangzhou Opera House, amongst many others. As a soloist Lee has performed with orchestras in Australia and the UK, playing concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg, Rachmaninoff and Brahms. A keen interpreter of music of the present day, Lee regularly performs contemporary piano music and has given numerous world premieres of works by Australian and British composers.
