We would love you to join us for Wombat Forestcare’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday 12 September 2026 at 2pm in the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre.We are delighted that local couple Nina Tsilikas and Giles Daubeney, both avid ‘birders’ will kick off with a presentation on their recent trip to Guyana entitled 'Birds of Guyana'. Now in their retirement, both have a huge interest and knowledge of the birds of Australia and world species, and their habitats. Over the last 20 years they have travelled and seen many birds worldwide, between 4,000 and 5,000 species each.
Their talk will showcase the birds of Guyana in South America, a land not as often visited as most other neighbouring countries for bird tours but it remains a remarkable wild place for wildlife and untouched landscapes. The Guiana shield, which covers all of Guyana is part of the northern Amazonian landscape and is a unique birding destination for its diversity of habitat and wildlife. This presentation will be about the birds and other wildlife that that were encountered as they travelled through the country.
Afternoon Tea will follow the talk, then a short AGM.
