Hosted by She Shed Cairns presented by NQ Women's Legal ServiceOur presenters, Kathryn (Lawyer) and Catherine (Client Advocate), will provide practical information to help women better understand healthy relationships, recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, and learn about the support services available.
Topics include:
An introduction to the Community Legal Centre, including who they are, the services they provide, and how they can support members of the community.
The green and red flags of healthy and unhealthy relationships.
Understanding the different forms of domestic and family violence, including:
Physical abuse
Emotional and psychological abuse
Financial abuse
Sexual abuse
Coercive control
Where to seek help and support.
There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout the session in a safe and respectful environment.
