About
Started learning the violin, viola, cello or double bass this year? You’re invited to Sunshine Coast's Beginner Strings Day! Presented by AUSTA QLD and the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra (SCYO), this fun and engaging workshop is the perfect next step for young musicians in their first year of playing the violin, viola, cello, or double bass.It’s all about building confidence, reinforcing essential technique, and experiencing the joy of playing in a full string ensemble alongside peers from around the Sunshine Coast.
For students:
- in their first year of learning their string instrument
- in Year 2 to Year 4 students (age 6-9)
- know at least, notes D, E, F# and G
Schedule:
- 8:45am Arrival
- 9:00am Session 1
- 9:45am Session 2
- 10:30 Break
- 11am Session 3
- 11:45am Prep/Tidy for Concert
- 12pm Concert for parents
