Join us at Prancing Pony Brewery for an entertaining evening exploring the history, culture, and craft of one of the world's oldest beverages. Hosted by founders Frank Samson (Head Brewer) and Corinna Steeb, this immersive experience combines fascinating beer history, a guided brewery tour, great food and, of course, exceptional beer.
Established in 2011, Prancing Pony Brewery in Totness has become one of Australia's most awarded independent breweries. While Frank and Corinna's professional careers began in science—Frank as a physicist and Corinna as a medical scientist—it was a shared passion for beer, bikes, and blues music in their native Germany that ultimately inspired them to build a brewery in the Adelaide Hills.
Throughout the evening, you'll discover how beer has shaped cultures for thousands of years. From ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, where beer was considered both nourishment and currency, to the rich brewing traditions of Europe and beyond, you'll hear stories of how beer has brought people together across generations.
You'll also step behind the scenes on a guided tour of the brewery to learn how craft beer is made, explore different beer styles and flavours, and gain an appreciation for the ingredients and techniques that make every brew unique.
