Promoting Relationships & Sex Ed, Mental & Menstrual Health
ECU’s School of Education has again partnered with WA Health Promoting Schools Association (Inc) to offer a fourth professional learning seminar to all ECU Pre-Service Teachers.
Promoting Mental Wellbeing, Relationships and Sexuality Education, and Menstrual Health webinar runs for two hours, with presenters from Zero2Hero, My Vital Cycles, Act Belong Commit and The Relationships and Sexuality Education Project, who are all members of WAHPSA.
The webinar will discuss:
* Educating, engaging and empowering young people to effectively manage their own mental health and wellbeing and support others
* A whole school approach to mental and menstrual wellbeing: parents, teachers, school nurses, counsellors and community working together
* A framework for embedding Act Belong Commit within school communities to improve and protect mental health and wellbeing
* Support for teachers in delivering relationship and sexuality education in schools via a whole school approach
All attendees will receive a certificate of participation for their professional learning records.
