'Old is Gold' is an intimate live music event featuring timeless Bollywood and English classics to be performed by the one-man band Sid Makwana in the historic Cominos House in Cairns as a part of his tour (Townsville, Sunshine Coast, Melbourne, Toowoomba, Cairns).

Old is Gold — Music, Memories & a Good Cause

Step into historic Cominos House, built in 1877, for an intimate evening of timeless Hindi and English classics performed live by Sid Makwana in a one-man band format.

From Eric Clapton and John Denver to Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi, Old is Gold is a relaxed house concert celebrating songs, memories and good company—far removed from the usual big-stage concert experience.

But this evening is about more than music. A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to Stray to Stay, a Far North Queensland not-for-profit animal rescue dedicated to helping abandoned and at-risk dogs find care, safety and loving forever homes.

If you are someone who cares about animals, enjoys community events and loves live music, your ticket can help support a local rescue while giving you a unique evening of music and nostalgia.

There will be delicious plant-based food and drinks by Phat Mushroom available for purchase.
