Lucy Cornell - Delivery Skills Masterclass for Advocates
About
This is a rare opportunity for ACT Bar Association members to sharpen the skills that set exceptional advocates apart. The ACT Bar Association is pleased to offer a highly exclusive, hands-on advocacy development experience designed specifically for members who spend time in court and want to strengthen their ability to perform under pressure.
For those that don't know the name, Lucy Cornell has been working with advocates for 18 years with the Australia Bar Association and in 6 other Common Law countries so she is truly an expert in her (and your) field.
With places strictly limited to 10 to 20 participants, this intimate event provides a rare environment for personalised development, practical learning, and meaningful connection with fellow advocates.
If you are serious about developing your courtroom advocacy skills, this is an event you cannot afford to miss.
In the courtroom, advocates are expected to think quickly, argue persuasively, engage with the bench, navigate complexity, manage pressure, and command attention. Excellence in advocacy requires more than legal knowledge it requires presence, confidence, clarity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to perform when it matters most.
Spoken advocacy is both an intellectual and performance skill. The strongest advocates understand how to use their voice, presence, energy, and communication style to influence outcomes and connect with their audience.
This exclusive event will help you:
✓ Build awareness of your performance habits
✓ Increase confidence and courtroom presence
✓ Develop gravitas and authority
✓ Find your voice under pressure
✓ Think clearly and speak with impact
✓ Manage nerves and perform with control
✓ Command the room and strengthen your influence
✓ Learn from fellow advocates and build lasting professional connections
This is not a traditional CPD session where you sit back and observe. This is an opportunity to step into the arena, deliver an oral submission, receive individual expert feedback, and refine the skills that influence how you are heard, understood, and remembered in court.
Limited places available. Secure your place and take your advocacy to the next level.
