Brief Encounters is a collection of seven original 10-minute plays by emerging playwrights, brought together in a staged-reading format by The Great Indian Theatre Company.
Each play captures a brief but significant moment—a conversation, a confrontation, a choice, a memory or an unexpected encounter—that reveals something deeper about the characters and their lives. The stories explore different emotions, relationships and experiences, offering audiences a chance to experience seven distinct voices and seven very different stories in one intimate theatre experience.
Presented as staged readings, the focus is on the words, characters and stories, allowing the audience to experience new writing in its most immediate form while giving emerging playwrights an opportunity to see their work brought to life on stage.
