About

After decades of increasing overseas competition, cost pressures and disinterest in origin of manufactured items, many traditional continuous-improvement skills and practices have been eroded. These disciplines once helped manufacturers achieve major gains in efficiency, quality and organisation by establishing shared routines, tools and problem-solving processes that enabled staff to collaborate rather than work in isolation.

Collaborating with Veritas, ICN aims to bring these capabilities back to manufacturers, particularly those in regional New South Wales. The workshops will combine networking with practical guidance on areas such as structured problem solving, quality control and lean manufacturing. Participants will learn how these capabilities fit together as part of a coordinated, long-term improvement program rather than as isolated initiatives.

The interactive workshops will help manufacturers assess their current position, identify their priority needs and understand which improvement approaches could deliver the greatest benefit. Attendees will leave with practical insights and clear next steps for their continuous-improvement journey.

Manufacturers are encouraged to send several representatives from different levels of their organisation. A small internal team can evaluate the opportunities from multiple perspectives, build wider support and help embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.

The day is designed to connect local manufacturers, broaden their understanding of what is possible and set them on a practical path toward sustained improvements in performance, quality and capability.
