Discover how your garden can become a welcoming habitat for local birds, bees, butterflies and other native wildlife.Whether you have a large backyard, a small courtyard or even a few pots on a balcony, this practical workshop will show you how simple changes can make a big difference to the local environment.
Presented by Moorabool Shire Council's Environment team, you'll learn about:
- choosing native plants that support local wildlife
- creating food, shelter and nesting habitats
- simple gardening techniques that encourage biodiversity
- practical ways to make your garden more wildlife-friendly, no matter its size.
Each participant will receive a free native plant to take home and help get started on creating a wildlife-friendly garden.
Morning tea will be provided, offering a great opportunity to connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts, share ideas and ask questions.
This is a free event presented as part of the Moorabool Seniors Festival. Bookings are essential.
