New client, who dis? AML - Customer Due Diligence For Lawyers 26 August 2026

has been just over a month since the Tranche 2 reforms arrived. Lawyers providing designated services now need to carry out customer due diligence (CDD) on their clients who receive designated services.

After an informative and engaging session on the Tranche 2 reforms and designated services relevant to lawyers, Laura Morfuni is back by popular demand.

She will be presenting a session on CDD obligations in Australia’s AML/CTF regime. This practical session will explore legal and practical issues lawyers may face when interpreting and applying the legislation. Laura will take the audience through ICDD, OCDD and ECDD (do we need to buy a vowel?), with practical insights to help you navigate compliance with confidence.
