Duke of Edinburgh Award - Adventurous Journey
About
Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Award students will be participating a 2 day, 1 night bushwalk in the Bunya Mountains, Queensland. This expedition will be led by St Mary’s College teacher and qualified Outdoor Leadership guide, Thomas Knauth.Your child will be participating in order to complete the Adventurous Journey component of their Duke of Ed framework, to plan and undertake a hike under the supervision of a trained AJS and teachers of St Mary’s College and St Ursula’s College. Their goals are to successfully complete the hike in a safe manner in a group of their peers, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and navigation skills in an unfamiliar setting.
