Join us to celebrate the launch of The Adventures of a Dirt Tracker, the remarkable memoir of former Wallaby and senior VFL player Russ Tulloch.Russ began as the undersized boy who was often chosen last. Through determination, discipline and an unwavering willingness to keep having a go, he rose from suburban Melbourne sporting grounds to play Australian Rules at the highest level before making an extraordinary switch to Rugby Union.
In 1966, Russ was selected for the historic Fifth Wallabies tour of the British Isles, France and Canada. He became the third Victorian born player to represent the Wallabies and the first senior VFL player to compete at the elite level in both Australian Rules and Rugby.
Filled with memorable matches, colourful characters, overseas adventures, friendship, family and plenty of humour, this is far more than a sporting story. It is a celebration of memories, mateship and the people who keep working, dreaming and showing up, even when they are not the superstar.
Come along and help us celebrate Russ, his extraordinary life and a story that proves being chosen last does not mean finishing last.
