COURSE OVERVIEW
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid (includes CPR)
Delivered by Community Languages Victoria (CLV) in partnership with CPR First Aid, a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 21903), this course is designed for community language school teachers, staff and volunteers who require nationally recognised First Aid certification for workplace, compliance or professional development purposes.

This nationally recognised course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a range of emergency situations until medical assistance arrives. The course includes CPR and is delivered in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. Participants will develop the confidence to recognise and respond to common medical emergencies in the workplace and community, including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), while meeting workplace compliance requirements.
Please note
This course includes HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
You do not need to book the separate CPR course if you are enrolling in this course.

- Assess emergency situations safely
- Apply DRSABCD in an emergency

DELIVERY MODE
This course consists of:
- Online theory and assessment (must be completed before attending the practical session)
- 3-hour face-to-face practical session
Participants who do not complete the online component before the deadline will not be permitted to attend the practical training.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
Community Languages Victoria is committed to making this training as accessible as possible.
During registration, participants will be asked whether they require any language, literacy, numeracy or digital (LLND) support. This information allows us to notify the training provider in advance so that appropriate assistance can be arranged where required.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
- A valid USI (Unique Student Identifier) is required to receive certification.
- Online theory and assessment must be completed before attending the practical session.
- Participants must attend the session they have booked.
- Please ensure your full legal name matches your identification and USI records.
BOOKING TERMS
To confirm participant numbers with the training provider, all bookings are final and non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may request a transfer to another available session (subject to availability) for a $25 administration fee.
