Health Soc Interview Prep Seminar and Workshop
About
Walk in prepared. Walk out remembered. Most students prepare for interviews by rehearsing answers. The ones who get offers prepare for the format — how a panel scores you, how to structure a response under time pressure, and what to do when a question lands that you've never seen before.
HealthSoc is running a two-hour, in-person seminar and workshop for UNDA students preparing for medical school interviews, and for anyone applying to honours, masters, or postgraduate programs.
This is not a lecture. The first half covers technique. The second half is live practice with feedback, so you leave having actually done it rather than just heard about it.
What you'll cover
Structure — how to build an answer that lands in under two minutes
Behavioural questions — ethical scenarios, and the "tell me about a time" format
Delivery — presence, pacing, and what interviewers are actually scoring
Common mistakes — the things that quietly cost candidates marks
Live practice — mock stations with real-time feedback
Who it's for
Medical school applicants preparing for MMI or panel interviews. Honours candidates meeting potential supervisors. Anyone applying to a masters, coursework, or specialisation program. Whether it's your first interview or your fifth, come.
