Community Afternoon Tea - More than Memory

Join Yarra Ranges Council and Caladenia Dementia Care for a special afternoon at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum exploring experiences of dementia, the senses, and community.The event will begin with a guest presentation from a local carer followed by a presentation from Sarah Yeates, CEO of Caladenia Dementia Care, who will draw on her extensive experience working with people living with dementia and their families, sharing practical insights and encouraging conversation around dementia awareness and support. Sarah will focus on a less-discussed topic - how dementia impacts a persons senses and strategies to navigate these times. This will be followed by a Q&A.
Guests are then invited to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea, connect with others in the community, and explore the museum, including a selection of tactile exhibits.
