Sir Karl Jenkins’ deeply moving choral masterpiece, Cantata Memoria: For the Children, will make its fully orchestrated Australian premiere performance. This monumental work stands as a powerful testament to grief, community resilience, and the enduring celebration of childhood. The work has only been performed, in full, a dozen times internationally and singers from the five Victorian Welsh choirs will anchor this performance along with the Gisborne Singers, the Melbourne Youth Chorale, soloists Adrian Tamburini and Heulen Cynfal and the Flagship Melbourne Youth Orchestra under the direction of Brett Kelly.This is a rare opportunity to hear and participate in a commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster and support not-for-profit organisations.
