Hi - I'm Meki! I've been planning an indie all ages festival for a while now - originally my plan was to do one or two 200 person capacity venues, but with the uproar surrounding Laneway we could upscale the event majorly.I've always done things by the people, for the people - without waiting around for bigger sponsors or long drawn out processes. By attending our first ever FESTraiser, you help decide the scale for our own 2027 festival. People from Perth are tired of buying plane tickets for concerts. So what if you could buy a plane ticket for your favourite artists instead?
My plan: Fly out 3-6 headliners from overseas and the East Coast for an all ages, accessible, 2-day live music event. The rest of the bill will be stacked with Perth artists - with a focus on alternative folk, female or queer led acts.
The current proposed dates are the 16th and 17th of January 2027, and I'm already in touch with half of the artists we could fly over.
