Our Semester Two Year 11 Drama Students Present: "Miles Away" by John Doherty.

As Alex travels into the heart of Australia, a series of extraordinary encounters challenge her assumptions about identity, belonging and what it truly means to find your way home.

Alex's life appears to be on track. A successful career, a long-term relationship and a clear future should be enough. Yet when uncertainty begins to creep into every part of her world, she impulsively sets out on a journey to the heart of Australia as well as her own. Along the way she encounters an unforgettable cast of characters whose stories, wisdom and humour gradually reshape Alex's understanding of herself. Filled with warmth, gentle comedy, insight and distinctly Australian storytelling, Miles Away is a moving exploration of identity, belonging, resilience and the unexpected paths that lead us home.

Held over three nights in the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts Drama Theatre, the performances commence at 6:30pm, with our Friends of Performing Arts families providing refreshments in the Forder Centre Mezzanine space from 6:00pm. The performances will conclude at approximately 8:00pm, with no interval.

Please note there is a 15 + age restriction for viewing, and students younger than this can attend with written parental permission or if accompanied by an adult.
