About

With heavy hearts, Rosie Tattoo steps forward to honour Angry Anderson — a giant whose music shaped generations. Though Angry is no longer with us, it is our honour to carry his songs on and keep the flame alive. Drawing from Irish-convict heritage and hillbilly grit, this acoustic outfit strips classic Rock ’n’ Roll down to something raw, ripped and disturbingly blissful. Angret (Cara Robinson) leads with weathered command, joined by Hat Fitz (banjo, backing vocals), Johnny AKA Micro (mandolin, guitar, backing vocals), Patch Brown AKA Hell Hound Brown (dobro) and Hooksy (double bass). Expect foot-stomping rhythms, wild harmonies and intimate, unforgettable late‑night singalongs that honour the originals while reshaping them into relentless, Appalachian-tinged fire.
Rosie Tattoo aren’t your typical tribute act. Five musicians, one
shared love of Australian classic rock and the raw, unruly soul of
Rose Tattoo — with no political agenda, just a serious affection for
the songs and a healthy disrespect for convention.

This isn’t about copying Rose Tattoo note for note. It’s about getting
inside the songs — finding the sweat, the swagger, the heartbreak and
the singalong — and letting them loose in a whole new way.
Expect wild harmonies, foot-stomping rhythms, raw strings, late-
night singalongs and five mongrels making a beautiful racket.
