1080 & PAPP Bait Training for Vertebrate Pest Control
About
As part of our ‘Partnerships Against Pests’ project, Connecting Country is partnering with Ag Skills Victoria to deliver a heavily subsidised 1080 & PAPP Vertebrate Pest Control Training. The cost of this course is usually $300, but you will only pay $50.This course has been designed to give you the skills you’ll need to identify and manage the risks involved in purchasing, planning and laying 1080 or PAPP animal baits.
*Please note Chemical Users Training is a prerequisite for this training. Connecting Country are offering Chemical Users Training as part of this program on Saturday 17 October. For more information visit the Connecting Country website.
On completion you will be eligible to apply to Agriculture Victoria for an Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) with a 1080 endorsement.
This course includes:
Benefits of integrated pest management
Government legislation and requirements and occupational health and safety requirements
Monitoring of pest animal infestations
Types of 1080 and PAPP pest animal bait products
1080 and PAPP risk assessment
Plan and schedule a 1080 and PAPP pest animal baiting programs and understand bait laying techniques
Requirements for the purchase, transport, use and storage of 1080 and PAPP pest animal bait products
Post-baiting requirements and record keeping requirements.
