The Brisbane City Pops Orchestra is excited to present Sing, Serenade and Celebrate, our final concert for 2026 entitled - The program will present favourite light classics, orchestral showstoppers and songs from popular musicals and opera with a touch of Christmas – you can crack a whip for Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson or join in our Christmas Singalong. Get your feet tapping to the lively Happy Hoe Down, relax to the elegant Toselli’s Serenade and enjoy the exciting and rhythmic Danse Boheme from Bizet's Carmen. Hear Ron Hanmer’s entertaining medley of famous overture exerpts, Overturiana. The orchestra will also present hits from Fiddler on the Roof, by Jerry Bock, including If I Were a Rich Man, Sunrise Sunset and To Life. Then, let us take you back to the 1950’s and the rock’n’roll, doo-wop music of the film Grease – a blast from the past.

Our guest artist is Rebecca Cassidy delighting you with works including O My Beloved Father by Puccini, a medley from the ever popular musical, Mary Poppins, the beautiful If I Loved You from Carousel by Rodgers and Hammerstein and two memorable movie ballads – Evergreen and The Way We Were. The person wielding the baton will be our first female conductor, Greta Hunter.
