Powerline Undergrounding - Online Information Session

The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM), SA Power Networks and the Power Line Environment Committee (PLEC) invite local councils and key stakeholders to attend an online information session on the undergrounding of powerlines in South Australia.This session will provide an overview of the benefits of undergrounding powerlines, the PLEC application and assessment process, project delivery considerations, and funding arrangements. Representatives from PLEC, SA Power Networks and DEM will share practical information and answer questions from participants.
Undergrounding powerlines can deliver significant community and environmental benefits. PLEC's role is to assist local government in improving the appearance and amenity of towns, suburbs and key precincts through the undergrounding of overhead electricity infrastructure.
