2026-16 Tapestry Workshop 2 with Valerie Kirk
Woven Tapestry Workshop
Two sessions are offered, which can be taken individually or as a set to develop further.
No previous experience is needed for the two sessions, and more advanced weavers are welcome to attend and do the set exercises or work on their own design, with input on drawing the cartoon, decisions about warp, weft, and techniques.
Session 2
The focus is on refining skills and developing shape-making, sewing slits and mixing colours on the bobbin.
Participants who did Session 1 can keep working on the same warp as a continuation. New students in Session 2 will warp up and begin weaving.
