🎭 PADWA IS TURNING 10! 🎉And we’re celebrating by bringing it all full circle. ❤️ From Music theatre workshops to Productions with some of our early mentors .
Ten years ago, PADWA began with just 15 students, a big idea and a passion for giving young performers the opportunity to learn from people who were actually working in the entertainment industry.
One of our very first workshops was with the incredible Rachael Beck — star of Cats & Beauty & the Beast with ( Hugh Jackman) and not long afterwards, Rachael introduced me to Christopher Horsey.
I was looking for someone who could tap… and who better than one of the legendary TAP DOGS! 🕺who was also in the film “ The Bootmen” ams is married to Music theatre Royalty Lucy Durack, who often attends our shows .
But the story goes even deeper. Rachael and Chris have known each other for years, growing up competing against each other in performing arts competitions before going on to work together in musical theatre. They’ve shared a lifelong friendship and a love of performing.
So it feels incredibly fitting that, 10 years after Rachael helped me start this journey, both Rachael and Chris will be back together for our biggest celebration yet. ❤️

This year, Rachael Beck and Christopher Horsey will be joining us for our 9–10 day musical theatre challenge, working with our performers towards a fully staged production.

From those first 15 students to performers now appearing in TV series, commercials and films, it has been an incredible 10-year journey.
And we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than bringing it back to where it began.
