Short Film - Girls School Holiday Workshop (Fairfield, VIC)

For emerging performers, writers and storytellersYear 7-12 girls are invited to take part in this one day filmmaking workshop taught by writer, comedian and performer Vidya Rajan (ABC’s Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe and SBS/Netflix's The Airport Chaplain). Students will learn the fundamentals of writing dramatic, engaging stories and use professional filmmaking equipment to create a short film.
Upon arrival, students will be shown all the equipment, how to approach writing a scene and how to develop deep characters.
After a fully catered lunch, you’ll then work as a team to write the script, plan the shots, decorate and light the set - before shooting a full short film. Each participant will receive guidance and support from Vidya and our Mentors who are there to ensure you leave with the skills and confidence to tackle your own projects.
