About
In this intermediate key word sign course, you will build your knowledge of key word sign and gesture in familiar everyday activities, routines, games and songs. You will learn about how to create a sign environment using strategies and resources to encourage and support the use of sign.The focus of this course is building your skills in signing accuracy and fluency through individual, small group and whole group activities. You will revise the signs of the Interactive vocabulary learned in 'Getting Started with Key Word Sign' and learn between 60-80 new signs.
Who is it for? People who have previously attended a Basic workshop and are looking to increase their skills.
Presented by: Jane is a Speech Pathologist with more than 35 years of experience, including 10 years in the disability sector. Having presented over 30 Key Word Sign workshops, she combines extensive clinical knowledge with a practical understanding of how Key Word Sign and other augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) approaches can support meaningful communication in everyday life.
