FREE COMMUNITY SCREENING."Just A Farmer" is a powerful Australian drama that explores the devastating impact of suicide on a rural farming family. Set against the striking landscapes of rural Victoria, the film follows a newly widowed mother as she navigates grief, cares for her alcoholic father-in-law, and fights to save the family farm.
Through its honest portrayal of loss, resilience, and community, Just A Farmer shines a light on the mental health challenges facing rural Australians while celebrating the strength of farming families and the support networks that help them endure.
Held in the beer garden at the White Hart Hotel, Longwood, this FREE community screening provides an opportunity to come together, connect, and reflect on the important themes explored in the film, including mental health, resilience, and the power of community support.

** Seating is limited. Attendees are encouraged to bring camping chairs and picnic rugs to enjoy the screening.
The evening will commence at 6pm with a welcome from The Unbreakable Farmer, Warren Davies, followed by presentations from local support services, including Beyond Blue, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local, and AgBiz Assist. The film screening will begin at 7.15pm, with a further opportunity to connect and chat with presenters and community members following the movie.
This community screening of Just a Farmer is supported through the LEAPing into Safer Communities Project under the Victorian Government's Safer Together program, together with the generous support of RaboBank, supporting community wellbeing, connection and resilience.
Just a Farmer is rated M (recommended for mature audiences). Runtime is 103 minutes.
