Brian El Dorado & The Tuesday People (Album Launch)
Songs From The Stairwell will be launched live on Grand Final night September 26.
The band will be performing a one off special album launch show at George Lane in St Kilda with support from St Kilda Soul n Blues master Zevon Lee.
Songs From The Stairwell is almost exclusively a solo effort. El Dorado says,
“After completing six previous studio albums with my band The Tuesday People and a few
EP’s I felt the urge to do something completely different and out of the ordinary”
The album exemplifies El Dorado’s creative search and willingness to experiment. The
stairwell itself was full of a deep and rich natural reverb that Andy and Brian were able to
capture with microphones placed over 3 levels. Brian says,
“It was a crazy idea, but I was on annual leave from the service and not working. Andy was out
here from LA. If anyone was going to pull this off it was Andy, so we gave it a shot”.
This new album for Brian is a leap into a rich, raw and acoustic sound palette.
