For individuals at higher risk of pressure injury, dynamic pressure care mattresses play a critical role in pressure redistribution and tissue protection. This session focuses on the clinical application of dynamic mattress systems, including different treatment modes, to support effective pressure injury prevention and management. Participants will gain practical insights to guide evidence-based mattress prescription in complex clinical scenarios.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

Understand the principles of pressure injury development and the role of dynamic mattress systems in pressure redistribution and pressure injury management.
Explore the function and clinical application dynamic treatment modes, including when these solutions are most appropriate.
Strengthen clinical reasoning skills for prescribing dynamic mattresses for individuals with higher clinical needs, considering factors such as pressure injury risk, mobility, care needs, and support requirements.
