Five musicians from four Australian cities, now based in Melbourne, come together to perform two piano quintets including double bass. Rollin Zhao, Chai Jie Low, Josef Hanna, Caleb Wong, and Rowan Swarbrick showcase the unique textural possibilities of a seldom-heard instrumental combination with Schubert’s well-loved ‘Trout’ Quintet featuring variations on his art song 'Die Forelle', followed by Vaughan William’s richly passionate Piano Quintet in C minor.
