Nostalgia as a creative force is no vague thing. The real juice is in the everyday things we recall. The small details that somehow got in.That person we met once in a shop. The sound of a radio from someone's shed. The smell of dinner as it gets dark in summer.
This is a workshop in harnessing our everyday experiences as Australians to improvise Australian stories.
It touches on the styles of Tim Winton, Jane Harper and Patricia Cornelius. *
*Some knowledge of these authors is nice, but not necessary.
