Better Way to Care Workshop | The Prince Charles Hospital | EOI - Monday 9 November 2026
Please register your interest in attending the Workshop. You will receive a confirmation email with further details if your registration is successful.
At the end of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
1. Discuss the challenges in the hospital experience for older people
2. Recognise the potential adverse impact of the hospital environment and care practices
3. Identify strategies to enable high quality assessment and care of the older patient in hospital
4. Apply practical strategies to assist with care of the cognitively impaired patient
5. Recognise the roles of staff from all disciplines and family members in meeting older patients’ needs
6. Share and advocate for successful strategies for improving care of older patients
Accommodation and travel costs are covered through the funding provided to each HHS for the implementation of the program. If you have any queries, please reach out to your Clinical Lead for further clarification.
Parking is available in the multi-storey carpark for a fee of $13.00.
Please bring along your own morning-tea and lunch as catering will not be provided. There will be a fridge available to store your items.
