For forty years the Geelong Concert Band has been part of the sound of this city, and we're marking the milestone with our biggest night of the year.Every one of our ensembles takes the stage at Geelong West Town Hall for a single celebratory concert, spanning the full range of repertoire that has defined four decades of music making in Geelong.
The evening also features three world premieres, written especially for this occasion through our Composer in Residence Program. Hear new works from Composer in Residence Pat Consedine and Emerging Composer in Residence Cuan Bester, commissioned for this band, this city and this night.
Whether you have followed the band for decades or you're coming along for the first time, this is the concert to be at.
